  1. gave comments at WSU this AM> I enjoyed helping in packaging food for the hungry areas in Africa due to the drought conditions there. I am excited to have the opportunity to help.

  2. I was hungry in the 50′s because my father was disabled and my mom had to train to work. There were no services to help us except charities. I sure am sorry for the people in the drought areas and the shortage of food there. I hope this saves many lives.

  3. As a child my family was very povered. Thanks to a wonderful mother that I was blessed with we never went hungry. She would gather vegetables from the neighbor’s garden across the street and then pick apples from the neighbor down the street. Fortunately she was friends with these neighbors that wanted to help out any way they could. From those neighbors my mother was able to keep our family of six well fed. We never went hungry. From those experiences I have promised to help out anyone in hunger whenever I have the oppourtunity.

  4. I have had the good fortune to never go hungry in my life. I cannot imagine what it would be like to experience that kind of suffering. I often think of people in that situation, when I am running leftovers down my kitchen sink. What would starving people say to me, and of me,if they saw what I am throwing away? I appreciate being given a small opportunity to help with this project. I pray everyday that the world’s conflicts will end, and innocent lives won’t have to be lost to hunger. Thank you to all who organize and make this happen.

  5. It was very well organized & I’m glad to be able to help so there is more sharing of our blessings & less hunger in our world.
